Snow Day

We had a very busy weekend complete with last minute shopping, indoor soccer games, Christmas parties and the list goes on and on.  So, it actually came as a welcome relief when we woke up on Sunday morning and found out that we were going to get to enjoy a snow day!  The fresh snow was so beautiful and Christmasy!

We had a very rare treat....for one day, it wasn't freezing, bone-chilling Midwestern cold....don't get me wrong, it was still cold...but it was warm enough to play outside for several hours which was so much fun!

The kids were so into making this snowman...I loved seeing them so engaged in a "project."  Regan and I made the snowman child.

This cute guy watched from the comforts of the warm house.  (He had his 2nd haircut the day before!)

For the rest of the day we enjoyed yummy food (lasagna!), games (Skipbo) and crafts (paper snowflakes).  It was the perfect kick off to our Christmas break!!!
