End of Summer Memories

A few more things I wanted to record from the end of August and first of September:
We went to our annual church night at the baseball game.  It was such beautiful weather and really fun to be all together with so many of our dearest friends, including our most favorite neighbors!
We even snagged a decent family photo...love the photo bomb from our friend in the background!

 World's most loved babysitter!

The babies (born 4 days apart) are growing up before our eyes!
These two boys...best of friends...impossible to get a normal picture of them, of course.

This girl...one of my best friends, ever.  Love her in every way.
This year the ferris wheel was a high light of the night.  The view was amazing and breathtaking.  I wish I could have gotten some better pics but the lighting was hard.   If you are ever in our neck of the woods, go to a ball game and ride the ferris wheel...nothing better.

I wanted to include a picture of our summer bucket list.  We didn't do everything on the list but we made a lot of progress and had a great time doing it!!
For homecoming, our local high school had a parade, and it went right through our neighborhood.  The weather was beautiful, and it was so fun to participate in something with such a community feeling.  Go Wildcats!!!!!

We played lots and lots of soccer in all kinds of weather!

Oh, the haircut....I sent him and his dad to the barbershop...and this is how he looked afterwards!

Jordan's soccer team got to go and play at half-time of a University of Iowa women's soccer game.  It was a great opportunity and fun to see soccer at such a high level.  Her team was so excited to be there as special guests!!

The two goalies for the team.

One day I was cleaning the basement and saw this hanging in Jordan's room.  I had to take a picture.  This girl is a born teacher.
She also made this great poster for an All About Me unit in her 5th grade class.

Ashton tried out volleyball for the first time playing on her middle school team.  I think she was pleasantly surprised by how much she liked it.  I was so proud of her for trying something new...and for being at school by 7 AM every morning!

One of our Activity Days leaders at church was expecting a baby and so we threw her a surprise shower.  It was so much fun...and I do think she was pretty surprised!  Love you Stefani!
