Happy Easter!

Easter really snuck up on me this year with all that has been going on...we were still able to have a fun weekend and carry out some of our Easter traditions. Grandma Cindy made these dresses for the girls and I absolutely LOVE them- brown and pink is one of my favorite color combos. We are so lucky to have such a talented Grandma. The girls enjoyed coloring Easter eggs and receiving Easter baskets. We had a nice Easter dinner with the missionaries and our friends (who are really more like family!), and it was a great day. We even got some decent pictures of our gang.

Four Weeks Old

Cole is now four weeks old! And we are surviving!!! The first few weeks of having a newborn are always hard for me, just figuring out a new routine and a new schedule for everything. Also, I always forget how much work babies really are. I am getting too old for this! So far, Cole is a good baby. He weighs almost 10 pounds and of course, is happiest when he is being held. He is starting to sleep a little longer at night (still wakes up a couple of times) and will now take a bottle, even from me! Thankfully, Regan is feeling better but has now decided to give up napping which is hard on her and me!

Extra Prayers

So here in the Snarr household, we need you to send some extra prayers our way! Little Regan-Roo spent the weekend in the hospital because she got dehydrated due to a horrible stomach virus. Earlier in the week, all of us (except baby) celebrated spring break by getting the stomach bug, but for everyone else it was short-lived. For poor Regan, it just hung on and on. By Saturday, she wasn't able to hold anything down, had had diarrhea for days and was so lethargic that we knew we needed to get her to the ER. We thought she would just get an IV and be done in a few hours, but instead she was admitted almost immediately for moderate to severe dehydration! Poor baby. The rest of the weekend was crazy- being back at the hospital where we just had Cole, trying to pump bottles to keep the baby fed, arranging care for the other girls and trying to keep Regan entertained and happy. Anyway, she is home now and finally this morning, has taken more of an interest in drinking and eating a tiny bit. I am hoping we are through the worst of it and can finally get back to a somewhat "normal" schedule. Although, between having the baby and this episode, I hardly know what normal is. On a lighter note, Cole had a check up yesterday and weighs a robust 9 pounds 9 ounces. A big thank you to all of our great friends who have helped us out so much over the past couple of days!

Cole at 2 weeks

It's hard to believe that Cole is already 2 weeks old...and he is doing great. Those first few weeks with a newborn are so crazy, but so far, he has been a really good baby. He loves to eat and be held! We are going for his check up next week, so it will be interesting to see how much he weighs since he has already outgrown some of his clothes.

Bringing baby home!

Cole and I arrived home on Friday morning! It has been wonderful, chaotic, exciting and exhausting! We are all doing well and adjusting to our new addition. Notice Cole's outfit that he wore home from the hospital. We love our little guy. Jordan even made him a crown at preschool.

He is here!

Most of you have already heard that Cole Anderson Snarr arrived March 11, 2009 at 12:49 AM. He weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and looks a lot like Ashton and Jordan did with lots of dark hair. The labor was quick and intense, the midwife was awesome and we couldn't be happier to have our son!!!

Waiting...

This is me....waiting for the baby to come...I am officially due in 2 days (March 12), but am headed to the dr. today for an update. We will keep you posted...
